On March 9, 2009, attorneys Howard Grossman and Tim Nies confidentially settled a case against the negligent operator of an open fisherman boat for $280,000 at a settlement conference prior to a lawsuit being filed. Our client, a husband and father of three children all under four years old, sustained a herniated disc to his back, which necessitated a lower back surgery. Our client was injured in a boat when the operator of the vessel failed to properly secure his equipment, and failed to check the weather reports, which would have revealed an approaching storm. Our client was injured when the boat slammed down into the sea, herniating a disc in his back.
